The coming of age ceremony of a Dragonborn is done after they first use their breath in a somewhat controlled manner. In larger Dragonborn communities the ceremony is done with multiple children at the same time. During the ceremony the children go outside the village to a place well seen from the adults in the village, be it high on the mountainside, on top of a cliff or on a big hill in the area, and light a fire there. The fire is supposed to be kept burning the entire night. The distance from the village and size of the fire changes with the size of the group partaking in the ceremony.

Dragonborns have the same lifespan as humans but they mature slighty faster. There are some cases reported of Dragonborns living remarkably longer than normal. It is speculated to be because of higher amount of dragon ancenstry and they are sometimes reverred to as blessed by [[Giapu]].
