It is led by the tabaxi [[Koto: Legends Arise/People#Shio Newara|Shio Newara]], after the previous daimyo lost his life in a duel.

Osawagi has a realtively high population density, due to the fact that it has about as many inhabitants as Fyushin, but spread out over way less land. That has led to larger cities forming with greater infrastructure compared to the nothern regions.

Osawagi is known for the fact that it is also one of the larger military regions, with its bastions being equally beautiful to look at and inconquerable in war.

The inhabitants of Osawagi are mostly humans and tabaxi, though migrants from the other western regions are not uncommon.
=== Cities ===
==== Midori ====
{|
| style="vertical-align:top; text-align:left; width:500px;" | Midori, the green city, is the capital of Osawagi. It has earned its name due to the fact that the skyline of the city is almost solely green, as the roofs of the buildings are made from a mineral found in ground mines in Osawagi.

The city is impressive beyond just the color, as it is build in a strategical fashion. During war, this city can function as a bastion, with each building, inner wall and tower placed in a way to facilitate defenses.

In the middle of the city towers the large palace, a pompous building that was comissioned by the daimyo Jin Sakari.

Being the military capital of the entire west mainland, things like armaments, armor and similar items can be found here better than anywhere else in the west.
=== Landmarks ===
==== Shinrin Shrine ====
{|
| style="vertical-align:top; text-align:left; width:500px;" | Shinrin shrine is in the middle of Oki forest, a large forest in the Osawagi region. It is unknown what created this collection of large rocks, that have been arranged in a circular pattern.

For the shamanistic religions of Koto, Shinrin shrine is a great point of spiritual meaning. Many shamans have taken to live in the Oki forest, to be close to the shrine. It is not a rare occurance, that animals are among the sacrifices made by the cultists that live in the forest.
