Fyushin

Fyushin is located northwest of Shihon and is a region of wide grasslands and fields. In the northern parts, the Kagoro Mountains limit the path. Fyushin is one of the two spiritual capitals of Koto, with both, the Yurei Lake and the Kagoro Temple within its borders. The current daimyo is the hobgoblin Takemura Yotoshi.

Fyushin is a very large region, yet has no exceptionally large cities. A lot of its land is filled with rural towns and farmland. The capital of the region is Sakana.

Fyushin is home to a lot of farmers and fieldworkers. The widespread land is fruitful and the landowners lease out large portions to make use of that.

While any of Koto's races can be found in Fyushin, Hobgoblins and Goliaths are the most common to be seen in these parts.

Cities

Sakana

Sakana, the capital of the Fyushin region, is a large fishing city. Built close to the ocean, it is the greatest port of the west mainland and harbors the large fishing ships that supply the entirety of the Fyushin region and the capital island. Besides the big merchant shops and the palace of the daimyo, the restaurants that sprout in the city like grass are a main attraction for travelers and locals alike. Sakana is said to have the best and freshest fish in the entirety of Koto, with some species that are native to the Umi sea being caught in the bays close to the city exclusively.

Landmarks

Kagoro Mountains

The great mountain range of Kagoro forms the northern border of the west mainland of Koto. It spreads wide beyond what has ever been explored, going on seemingly endless. Fresh rivers spring from within its tops, running through the entirety of the west mainland. The mountains are cold and harsh, their terrain impassable for most. Legends say, that far within the reaches of the range, dragons have their nests and slumber, to one day awaken and wreak havoc on Koto.

Kagoro Temple

Kagoro Temple is the largest temple of the spiritual order since the destruction of Hisoka temple. It is located in the north of the Fyushin region, on top of a large plateu. The way up to the temple is hard and troublesome, as the stairs that lead to it are steep and plenty.

Once the top has been reached, one will find themselves in a moist climate and experiencing an otherworldly view. Some say that Kagoro Temple is as close to the gods as one can get and taking in the panorama, many surely agree.

The temple insides are decorated with statues, art and mosaics of almost all gods that are praised to in Koto. Further, one will find that monkeys are as plenty as the monks, but acting just as humble towards the idols.

An air of spirituality lies all around this place and the order of monks and clerics that have dedicated their lives to this temple are a unique kind within all of Koto.

Yurei Lake

Yurei Lake is located in the west of the Fyushin region and is the name given to a natural phenomena without equal in Koto. The body of water is found surrounded by steep cliffs, with a narrow pathway through thick plant life leading to its shore. The lake itself is almost always covered in thick fog. Further, the water of the lake almost seems to glow. Should one cross around the shore, a cave can be found, constantly kept in dim light due to the glowing plants and water.

The order of the spirit, which has built a temple on the plateu surrounding the lake, believes this to location to be the crossing point of the body and soul. The gateway for the deceased to head into their afterlife. Wether this be true or not, the lake has become a spiritual key location for many beliefs in Koto.
