Material World

The material realm is the in between the Shattered Realm and the Spirit World. It is the realm that Koto lies on, the realm where mortals go about their lives. Being influenced by the two other realms keeps a fragile balance, which allows for the life to be sustained on it the way it is.

Takamagahara

Takamagahara is the castle created by Izayoi. It is said to be high above the clouds, where mortals cannot see it. Takamagahara is said to be the domain of ultimate law and good, home to the ceelstial beings, the Tenshi.

The castle is said to have an infinite number of rooms and endless gardens. In common belief, the Tenshi watch over the lives of the mortals from above.

Shattered Realm

The Shattered Realm is made of the shattered parts of Yomi, the Devourer. A place only loosely connected to the material realm, this dark dimension features no moon, no sun, no stars. The black sky is lit by nothing of its own and color seems to be absent in this realm of darkness. Not even gravity appears to work as it should, as most of the ground is made up by floating islands, each of which may have its own pull to a completely different direction as the previous ones.

Very little is truly known about this place, though it is said that the worst demons and monsters inhabit it. It is rumored to be connected to the material plane through the Baai Sinkhole.

Spirit World

The Spirit World is said to be something akin to the afterlife. When a soul leaves its physical body and passes on, it is normally transported to the spirit world. This wonderful place is filled with beautiful flora and vibrant colors. The sun shines brighter, the rivers run fresher and the grass is greener than it could ever be in the material realm.

However, not only spirits are said to live in this place. Some inhabitants are born to the spirit world. Known as Yosei, these beings are incredibly sly and full of tricks. They very rarely impact on the material realm, but if they do, they often prank its inhabitants for their amusement. Though their intention is never for true harm, more for mischief.
