Elder Cove is the oldest country in the Greenlands. It's territory is confined to the Darkwood Forest. The crest features a red rose on blue background.

Elder Cove is a democratic republic and it's represented by the speaker. The speaker is chosen in a contest where contestants get tested in their rhetoric abilities. The winner is the new speaker. Other official positions get chosen in a similar manner.

The positions are respected but can be challenged should a person think their abilities superior.

Elder Cove has an alliance with The Hobbits and a friendly relationship with Farandell.

History

Even before the Treaty of the White Tower nature and forest loving individuals congregated and build a society in the Darkwood Forest.

In 1E57 they founded Elder Cove.

Society

The people of Elder Cove follow a mostly communal lifestyle where goods are paid with favours rather than money. As such habitants of Elder Cove rarely accumulate any riches or wealth.

International trade and income generated by that is usually shared and used to buy things not available in Elder Cove.

The people of Elder Cove rarely value money but rather nature and friendliness.
