The Northern Lands are the ever cold lands north of the Coroburn Heights. It is not part of mainland Erotria and the lands have never been fully explored to the north. The official border with Teldin is not agreed upon, southern maps regularly draw the line at the end of the mountains. Apart from the odd skirmish the northern tribes and Teldin have a quiet agreement to not argue over the specifics.

Government

The Northern Lands don't have an official government. There are various communities that mostly keep to themselves. Usually there is one community leader that keeps their role until it is successfully challenged. Should any issues conceirn multiple communities they meet up to discuss a solution.

Alliances

As there isn't a formal government there aren't any specific alliances with the Northern Lands. Some communities hold relations with people from other countries.

History

As far as history is recorded people always lived in the Northern Lands. The people there hold their history in saga and song retold again and again in the long winter nights.

Society

The society of the Northern Lands values strong and hardy people. The climate doesn't make the life easy. The communities are eager to help stray wanderers but help is not given to the weak.
