Erotria World Map

The continent of Erotria as we see it today is home to many folks rebuilding long standing societies after the ascension. Erotria is home to 12 countries and 23 different speciess dispersed over the split mainland and the two largest islands. These are split into 5 different regions.

The 5 regions follow the geographical features of Erotria such as the main two mountain ranges and water passages.

Gostrai

Gostrai is the northern most region in what is considered mainland Erotria. The southern border of Gostrai is considered the Gate of Erotria. It then follows the coastal borders north until it meets the Coroburn Heights. The exact border in the Coroburn Heights is disputed. Some say Gostrai ends where Teldin begins, some put the border further north within the mountain range.

Greenlands

The Greenlands are the eastern peninsula of mainland Erotria. The western border of the Greenlands is considered the Gate of Erotria. The border then follows the coastline past the Violent Waves and wraps back around to the Gate of Erotria. Generally it is agreed upon that the Gate of Erotria is counted towards the Greenlands instead of Gostrai.

Krogath

Krogath is the most northern region of Erotria. It is however not considered to be a part of mainland Erotria. The southern border are the Coroburn Heights and then the border moves north up into the unexplored northern territories.

Opari

Opari is the western island of Erotria. It is not considered to be a part of mainland Erotria. The border follows the coast of the island and the Perlboro Passage and -Mountains not in the island are not part of Opari.

Yosis is the southern island of Erotria. It is not considered to be a part of mainland Erotria. The border follows the coast of the island and the Perlboro Passage and -Mountains not in the island are not part of Yosis.

Species

Erotria is home to many species with different cultures and lands of origin. You can find any species mostly anywhere in Erotria but most people tend to stick to their homeland if there is one.

Pantheon

The world of Erotria is full of different powers. All play their role in shaping the fates of times past and times to come. The current pantheon of Erotria contains eight gods and the 13 Manifested Princes. All gods were created by Giapu the godly allfather in the beginning of time.

Time

Time in Erotria is counted after the human calendar due to their prominence in all regions. The human calendar follows a 13 month system and the history of Erotria is divided into 3 eras. A mayor historical event usually concludes an era. Written dates use the Day - Month - era - year format (1st Januaris 1E1).

There are historic records before the 1st era. These are dated as 1st era with a negative year count (1st Januaris 1E-1).

Magic

Magic exists in Erotria but it's not as common. People know what magic is and might even have one or two kids from their hometown leave for an arcanic education. Most people do not have a talent for magic and might not even know any specifics how magic works.

If a magical talent is discovered within a child, that child is taken to Colleges of Magic. The process of the integration and which college is choosen is determined by the country the child lives in. In those Colleges of Magic a child receives education around magic with the overall goal of the Colleges of Magic being the prevention of accidents due to uncontrolled experiments or outbursts.
