Government

The Triton Confederation is an aristocratic oligarchy. The three city states are controlled by the most influencal merchants and their families. While mostly independant they agreed to enforce similar laws. The three leaders irregularly meet in Nova Meuxginia and are known as the Emerald Council.

The Emerald Council

The Emerald Council is the leading instance of the Triton Confederation. They decide all matters that can't be solved in one city alone. Also previously decided laws in one city will be discussed if they affect the other city states.

The current members are:

Alliances

The Triton Confederation has a trading alliance with The Hobbits, Yachijan and there is loose trading with Staborgia and Astoria.

History

The Triton Confederation is a newer country in Erotria. The three cities were controlled by the richest merchants after the government fell apart after the ascension. Over time three families rose to the top and in 3E93 agreed to form a confederation.

In 3E101 they officially took control of the Gate of Erotria and started to build it up into a strong military location.

Society

The Triton Confederation is a very diverse society. As one of the worlds biggest trade points a variety of people find their home here. Race rarely is an issue in the Triton Confederation. The people are welcoming of new people and even more so if they come with their fair share of wealth. Trade stands above all so a peaceful solution is preferred but the traders will be very quick to make a profit should war or a crisis inflate prices. The people of the Triton Confederation value progress and luxury and an abundance of money enables both.
