Government
Teldin is an elective monarchy. The new ruler is selected once the old one dies or lays down their position. The candidates are choosen by the Silver Council and then have to proceed through a set of trials. The winner is crowned as the new king under the mountain. The current king is Doran Goldhand.
The Silver Council
The Silver Council is supportive and controlling instance for the king. The members are the lords of the three cities, their arch mage and their leading engineer. The Silver Council provides advice for the king and can abolish a king although a unanimous vote is needed.
The wide selection of people allows to see multiple points of view for every matter, the odd number of members prevents ties and the power of the council allows for control of the king.
Alliances
Teldin has a trading alliance with Staborgia and protective agreement with Osmor.

In 1E15 Miltodur was founded as Teldin started to carefully open to the world. It now serves as the mayor trading city.
In 1E153 Mim Moldur was founded as the threat of The Northern Lands to Teldins territory became greater. It still serves as an outpost although it has grown to a proper city over the years.
Society
Society of Teldin mainly consists of dwarves. As anywhere you'll find the odd group of humans or other races but even if they lived in Teldin for years it is hard to oppose the inherent distrust they have for other races. The people of Teldin are private people. Although not unwelcoming they tend to distrust outsiders and rather hold a neutral stance. The people of Teldin value family, craftsmanship and tradition.
